KIA the next revolution in Pakistan's Automobile industry

After so many decades the empire of big three Toyota, Honda and Suzuki seems to be getting what they deserve. These three companies have always thought what do they want rather than what a customer wants and what are the basic needs of a customer like safety and reliability.

Now the good time has come in which people of Pakistan may have many other options than Toyota, Honda and Suzuki. as other companies are stepping into Pakistan's automobile industry, many companies like FAW and Nissan have already set their selves into the environment as FAW has already its  launched Hatchback named V2 in Pakistan with which the company has received very good response, Nissan is also doing its best to provide cars with great features in order to create an environment in which people of Pakistan may have better options as per their requirements.

Now a Days we all have our eyes on a very re-known company KIA, who have already started working in Pakistan by opening their two dealerships in two famous cities Karachi and Lahore, as per the company more dealerships are going to be launched soon in different cities of Pakistan. As far as the experience is concerned KIA is already having 70 years of experience of progress and innovation in automobile industry, so the reliability will not be an issue for the people of Pakistan.

Below is the aim which Kia has decided to go with..

KIA has already planned to provide its three cars with best features they can ever provide:

1. Kia Grand Carnival

2. Kia Sportage

3. Kia Rio

Whenever there is a new company in Pakistan's automobile industry it has faced many problems and after those problems companies have gone back and their efforts failed to make people of Pakistan believe on features, reliability and durability they tried to provide. Now a days in Pakistan people have started believing that they have been made fools for many decades by Big three as they never tried to provide all those features which are necessary for the customers in this era, as if we see in other countries same these three companies are providing very good features and their  prices are also quite reasonable. But here in Pakistan it is otherwise.

Now as per the experts opinion new Manufacturers in Pakistan like FAW, KIA and Nissan are having no issues in settling their selves up into the environment of Pakistan's automobile industry as people have started believing on them and started enjoying their features.

Now the main challenge is for these companies who have decided to serve customers of Pakistan with their best features is the after sales service,  because comparing Big three in providing features wont be enough for these companies, as you can compare the amount of dealerships and their after sales services with Nissan and FAW. If these companies improve their after sales service and come up to the level of those Big Three, then the future of Big Three is very dark in Pakistan in coming 5 years if they don't improve their features they are providing for past many decades up till now.

Maps to help drivers to find parking space

It is confirmed by sources that Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz cars fitted with on-board sensors are to share information in real time about on-street parking spaces and roadworks via a digital map service which must help drivers to find space for parking. They will also gather data on traffic conditions, hazards and road signs.
The service by mapping firm Here, owned by a group of German car makers, will roll out in coming days.

The platform will record vehicle speed, location and direction, as well as sharp braking and fog light activation.
Video footage of road hazards will also be captured by a forward-facing camera on the cars.
Other brands will join the service at a later date, the firm said.
Owners of cars which incorporate Here's Open Location Platform will not have to do anything to transmit or receive data.
Community mapping service Waze, owned by Google, already crowdsources travel data but users must be logged in via their smartphones.
The car sensors that will transmit data.

The parking information service will also provide parking availability predictions for each street as well as details about payment options.
"Here believes that industry collaboration is essential to address the major challenges faced by road users everywhere.
"What we are seeing today is the technology and automotive industries coming together to create services that will elevate the driving experience for billions," said CEO Edzard Overbeek.
Here was sold by Nokia to the car group last year for 2.8bn euros.

End of an era as Blackberry stops making phones

blackberry-z10-specifications

After 14 years in the mobile phone business, embattled maker Blackberry has announced that it is no longer going to design its own smartphones.

The company, which is famed for its "Qwerty" keyboard mobile phones that were the choice handset for professionals, has been struggling to keep up with market leaders Apple and Samsung as the world has moved to touchscreens.

As a result, the loss-making business said it is going to focus on creating software for mobile phones, rather than the devices themselves. Instead, it will outsource the brand to other manufacturers.
"The company plans to end all internal hardware development and will outsource that function to our partners," said John Chen, chief executive and executive chairman of Blackberry. "We are focusing on software development, including security and applications."

The news comes as Blackberry reported losses of $372m (£286m) in the last quarter, compared with a profit of $51m in the same period of 2015. Blackberry's sales so far this year have fallen to $734m down from $1.1bn in the first six months of 2015.

The demise of Blackberry's handset making division follows efforts to compete with other smartphones. The Canadian company released its first Android smartphone last year, which was followed with the  Dtek50 this summer, billed as "the world's most secure Android smartphone".

However, it has failed to reverse a trend of falling revenues since 2010, when the company was at its peak. The popularity of BlackBerry Messenger and its high-tech email system made its phones a smash hit among young users and professionals alike, but Apple's iPhone and Google's Android software, with millions of apps and full touchscreens, rendered them obsolete.

BlackBerry's response, its BlackBerry 10 software, was released late and was poorly received, and the company's market share continued to dwindle despite a core of dedicated users.

The company's revenues continued to decline and under Chen, who took charge in 2013, it has focused on developing secure software for smartphones. It also launched BBM on Android and iOS.
Its last great effort was the Priv, which ran Android but featured the famous BlackBerry keyboard. It was well received but sales continued to disappoint.

HP apologises for ink-blocking update

hp

HP has backtracked on a software update that blocked some ink cartridges made by third parties.
A controversial firmware change made earlier this month meant HP printer owners using unofficial, usually cheaper, cartridges discovered they would no longer work.
A campaign calling on HP to reverse the move was launched, backed by rights group the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF).
In a blog post, HP admitted it had should have done a "better job of communicating” the change.
An optional update that removes the restriction on unofficial cartridges will be available “within two weeks”.
The firm added: “We are committed to transparency in all of our communications and when we fall short, we call ourselves out."
But while making the apology for how it informed users, HP defended the move, saying it did so to protect users from counterfeit products.
"When ink cartridges are cloned or counterfeited, the customer is exposed to quality and potential security risks, compromising the printing experience,” wrote Jon Flaxman, the company’s chief operating officer.
However, campaigners argued HP’s motivation was less about security, and more about protecting the large profit margins it adds to official ink cartridges.
‘Security nightmare'
As consumers took to online forums and social networks to express anger, the EFF came down hard, saying HP had betrayed the public's trust.
"Customers should be able to buy an HP printer without fear that the company will later place artificial limits on the printer’s use,” the group said.
"It would be a security nightmare for customers to avoid installing security updates for fear of unwanted and unannounced feature changes."
It also called on HP to explain how it planned to tell customers who may have been affected about the revised update.
"Right now,” the EFF said, “the vast majority of people who use the affected printers likely do not know why their printers lost functionality, nor do they know that it’s possible to restore it.
"All of those customers should be able to use their printers free of artificial restrictions, not just the relatively few who have been closely following this story."

The Mobile Companies New Revolutionising How We Make Calls

man_on_phone_flickr

We all can see arround us that using apps to make internet calls has been available for a while, but the caller and receiver often have to have the app installed and a data signal is needed for it to work, so that one can make call for free, although via using internet infact.
But a company called onoff is changing this. It uses the GSM network as well as data to connect to the handset, allowing SMS text messaging, producing a wider coverage and only one person, even if it is the receiver, needs the app.
Customers can also be issued with multiple numbers and adopt a number that is local to the country they are in. This will help consumers to make calls without  installing any apps in their smartphones.
Meanwhile, a company called FreedomPop is offering a free Sim card with free calls and data. lets see in future how long will take to get this revolutionising idea for making calls without using apps.
It may reduce the markete of other apps like whatsapp, imo and skype as well (to some extent)  many companies are trying there best to make their customers comfortable with features but after the existing revolutions of above mentioned internet based apps customers opted to use internet calls instead of mobile network.

Now it will be a good opportunity for customers after these offers of mobile companies  to make free calls.

World's first Mobile phone

Welcome to my section World's First, which is going to increase your knowledge about any invention which was released in this universe for the first time. Do not forget to comment if you like my posts and do like us on facebook.

In 2018 every one knows about mobile phones and is quite aware of its benefits, specifications, usage etc. During this decade there are lots of revolutions in mobile phones as mobile phones have been converted into smart phones In 45 years there are so many changes can take place but when we talk about technology before 45 years it seems like going back into ancient ages.

Who invented first Mobile phone or Cell phone?

Motorola was the first company which manufactured the first ever mobile phone.

Dr. Cooper was the first gentleman who used the Motorola Dyna TAC 8000x Prototype handheld phone and this mobile phone weighed 1.1 kg and was measured 23 cm long, 13 cm deep and had width of 4.45 cm. The Prototype was having talk time of 30 minutes and this mobile phone used to be fully re-charged in 10 hours.

Motorola's chief of portable communication products John F. Mitchel in 1973 played a measure role in order to advance the development of handled mobile phones. John F. Mitchel successfully managed Motorola in order to develop latest wireless communication gadgets those were small and easy to carry by which user could use those products anywhere, Mitchel also indulged himself in order to design the cellular phone.

On April 3, 1973, Dr. Cooper who was the first user of Motorola Dyna TAC 8000x the first commercial mobile phone made the first mobile phone call while standing near a 900 MHz base station on Sixth Avenue between 53rd and 54th streets in New York city. Cooper made this first mobile phone call to the Headquarters of Bell Labs in New Jersey.

6 Amazing Facts about ABS Braking System 2018

An Anti Lock Braking System is used now a days in all modern vehicles, this is to make yourself control on your vehicle when you apply the brakes. In non ABS braking system you can totally lose control when you apply brakes in emergency. With ABS you can be able to steer your vehicle properly and it also reduces the braking distance of your vehicle. As we all know that traffic is getting heavier now a days and critical traffic situations are increasing day by day. Sometimes only good braking can control the situation in order to avoid accident.

Here you can find 10 Amazing Facts about ABS (Anti Lock Braking System)

  1. When Applying Full Brakes in any situation, the wheels can lock and the vehicle can not react to the steering because the locked wheels can no longer provide necessary turning force while locked and it becomes impossible to avoid incident. Anti Lock Braking System prevents locking of wheels and makes the vehicle steerable while fully applying the brakes.
  2. ABS can also monitor all wheels at the same time with the help of wheels sensors so that system can recognise he locking of any wheel.
  3. ABS can reduce the braking distance with the help of steering and wheel mechanism.
  4. With the help of ABS you can apply brakes on a curve road and your vehicle will move in a direction you want with the help of your steering. While in non ABS, full braking on a curve road can cause drifting of your vehicle.
  5. With ABS, the vehicle can always respond to the driver's steering attempts as wheels tend to keep unlocking while applying full brakes and becomes completely steerable and controllable in order to avoid collisions.
  6. ABS braking system is also fully trust worthy on any sort of ground like when you apply full brakes on wet surface, vehicle remains controllable.

Who made a picture of world's first camera

Welcome to my section World's First, which is going to increase your knowledge about any invention which was released in this universe for the first time. Do not forget to comment if you like my posts and do like us on facebook.

Whenever there is a picture or discussion about world's first camera every body asks a question that if this is the world's first camera than who took a picture of world's first camera. Here i will suggest few answers which might be helpful for all of you.

Above in picture, the camera which you guys can see is said to be the first ever camera in the universe, while looking at this picture everyone asks that famous question "who took picture of this camera". Well this camera was invented by George R. Lawrence. He was also commissioned by Chicago and Alton railway in order to have the largest picture of trains. This photo was measured in dimensions of 8 ft by 4.5 ft and camera had a weight of 900 pounds, total 15 to 16 men were necessary for this camera in order to move camera from one place and another as well as to operate. As far as the amount is concerned, this camera costed $5000.

Now coming to the Universal question regarding world first camera. In my opinion:

  1. This might be the word's largest camera but not first.
  2. If this camera is the world first camera then this picture must have been taken after the invention of second, third or may be fourth camera. Because history says that world's first camera was remained there till many inventions and revolutions of camera. so its not a big deal, this picture might have been taken by second camera.
  3. May be the same camera took picture by itself using mirrors, camera could have been placed in front of a mirror tilted to the bottom corner on right, then there is another mirror facing towards the camera.

Well i hope you guys can now imagine that what were the possibilities of taking photo of world's first camera. If i wanted to take a photo of first camera i would have used mirrors to take photo to show the world that i have made world's first camera, instead of waiting for another camera to be invented.
